I put her back in after lunch, and all she did was break out. I found her on the couch. Nothing else damaged. Maybe her breaking out is all she needs to mellow out for the day? Will continue experimenting, but the big guns are still coming.
We're going for a walk now.

That happened with my dog. He would freak out all day long if he was restrained anywhere. As soon as we just let him roam around the house he calmed down.

Soooo if she breaks out, and relaxes on the couch, aaaaand isn't destroying anything, thennnnnn why is the crating necessary? What am I missing here.

I’ve seen this before.
Step 1: Get her into a vault
Step 2:?

She freaks out and destroys things, but only one thing, then she goes and relaxes. Double Dog Jail now exists for her to lash out at, escape, then go sleep.

Because if she's out, she destroys something, then relaxes. She's torn off door trim and partly eaten her way through a wall.

I’ve seen this in a movie... Don’t you hide her inside the cart the Brinks guys move the money into the bank with?

My wife is suggesting frozen — FROZEN — Kongs. We used cream cheese and dog food. She said the dog is bored and needs something to do while you’re out. She said you may want up the game to running, in lieu of walking.

Did it with frozen peanut butter. No effect. Runs are in the making.

It was also a bad sign that my wife told me that huskies will literally eat through walls to get out, right before I read your reply of your dog eating through the... wall...

Check with vet first, sometimes they recommend waiting until full grown (is she full grown?). Also, when I had a lab they cautioned that you can’t run some breeds until they stop, because they won’t if they’re bred to do a job and feel they can’t disappoint their owner. You have to be the one to stop or they’ll go until they hurt themselves.

Don’t give up! Luna is no husky but she was a massive pain in the booty. You'll get there.

If she’s using her energy getting out of the crate maybe you need some kind
of dog puzzle lock if such a thing existed.

In my experience peanut butter doesn’t freeze that well (or at all really). May be my freezer. I pack large black Kongs with a tiny bit of peanut butter at the bottom (to make it enticing), then canned pumpkin, and top off with wet food. I drop a couple of pieces of kibble in every few scoops, too . Then freeze overnight.
They take Ravna about an hour to get through and are a crucial part of her evening entertainment. They’re a fantastic value in terms of minutes of doggy fun per either dollar or minutes of effort on my part. Highly recommend trying them out with something that has enough water content (and little enough oil) that they’ll really freeze solid.

Are you feeding her out of a bowl? If so, you are missing out on a great way to burn some of her energy off: food toys! These can provide an hour or more of daily fun for her with little effort on your part, and with a young, active dog, every minute of stimulation helps .
There’s lots of options. I like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ULTT44?tag=duckduckgo-d-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1
It’s basically a purple egg with holes on the poles, and the holes have rubbery prongs to make it harder for the kibble to come out. You can trim these with a scissors so the kibble you use will actually fall out, but not without a good amount of rolling first. Ravna gets all of her meals from this and hasn’t gotten bored with it yet, even a year later. It took a few tries to show her how it worked, but she got the hang of it pretty quickly.

My tiny terror of a mutt couldn’t pull off a crate escape, but she had a habit of destroying a single item when i would leave for work. I had to crate her for about 8 months until she kinda grew out of it. Now she can roam free without issue.
Maybe try a hard wall crate or doghouse with a latching door? It looks like you need something she can’t get her paws or snout under.

Hope you didn’t buy the toy I linked to in my other comment, because I just bought another one today, and they drastically reduced the size of the rubber prongs that keep the kibble out, to the point where it’s almost useless. But the broader point still stands; I’ll be trying to find a different food toy/puzzle for Ravna.
